THE CHARTER FOR COMPASSION

The Charter for Compassion was launched on the 12 November 2009. Inspired by the 2009 TED wish of Karen Armstrong the charter recovers the Golden Rule – treat others as you would wish to be treated, don’t do to others what you would not like done to you. The Charter expresses the deepest intention for compassionate human engagement. You can express your intention to live and work compassionately by affirming the charter at www.charterforcompassion.org

At the meeting of the trustees of The Grubb Institute on the 26 Jan 2010 the council endorsed the Charter. Bruce Irvine (Trustee & Executive Director) said, "There is a core alignment between the purpose of the Institute and the Charter for Compassion, endorsement is an expression of our intention to live by and promote the Charter in all of our activity."

You can also watch the Charter for Compassion video on the Grubb Institute YouTube channel.
