A capacity-building approach to leadership development in your organisation, using organisational analysis for peer-consultation and team problem-solving.

The Grubb Institute runs a range of experiential conferences, programmes and courses.

The Ubuntu Education - Skills for Life Programme aims to respond to the growing need in our global society for a new and different way of engaging with one another.

We tailor make assignments according to the client's need rather than provide off-the-shelf solutions.

The Council of The Grubb Institute has approved and authorised work on the formation and animation of A Grubb Institute Guild. The new forum 'A Grubb Guild - Discernment in Action' will be operational on 12 July 2011. Please contact Claire Collins for further information.

MA: ORGANISATIONAL ANALYSIS - Freedom To Make A Difference - The Grubb Institute's Professional Development and Formation programme, designed to build on your desire to find the freedom to make a difference in the changing world.

Extravision ™ for Experienced Coaches & Consultants
  • What is ‘extravision’?
As coaches and consultants, we all have moments of feeling ‘stuck’ in our work – something happens which we cannot make sense of, a relationship with a client suddenly feels like it is breaking down, or perhaps we feel we have ‘run out of ideas’, that our usual repertoire is not meeting the challenge of the case.  ‘Extravision’ is about consulting with a colleague who can help us ‘see’ more of what is going on.  We prefer this term to ‘supervision’ because supervision implies the offer comes from someone more experienced, ‘older and wiser’, when what is needed is a fresh perspective, a different way of making sense of your situation from someone outside it.
  • Why is our offer for ‘experienced’ coaches and consultants?
Junior coaches and consultants are likely to need, and to be receiving, training and supervision within their firm, learning ‘how we do things around here’.  Our offer is specifically for those who are seeking a new and different way of looking at their work from what they already do – to enlarge their repertoire or ‘tool-kit’.
  • Why The Grubb Institute?

The Grubb Institute has evolved a particular approach to coaching and consultancy over the past forty years, drawing on a wide range of disciplines including systems thinking, psychoanalysis and organisational behaviour together with attention to how people mobilise their values, passions, faiths and beliefs in order to contribute to organisational purpose and effectiveness.
