OUR PROGRAMMES & APPROACHES

We tailor make assignments according to the client's need rather than provide off-the-shelf  solutions. This can involve a range of approaches that include:

  • Organisational Role Analysis (ORA) This is a way of working which enables a person to enhance their effectiveness as a leader or manager. Through it, they can stand back and view the system that they are working in, and the kind of role that they need to take up to enable the organisation to achieve its basic purpose. The focus is the client’s ‘organisation-in-the-mind’ which determines their behaviour in the realities of the working situation - this enables them to make choices and take action.
  • Engaged ResearchThis is where the Institute is engaged with a client in researching a particular organisational problem. The research results in the development of new ways of understanding the organisation in its context. This provides both models for future development and leadership and management programmes which equip leaders and managers to be alive to meeting organisational purpose in the rapidly changing environment.
  • Whole System TransformationThis is where the Institute works with the leaders and managers of an institution so that they can create a culture/internal context where staff are able to use their collective experience to transform their behaviour more effectively to meet the institution's purpose and vision.
  • Evidence-based Leadership - A unique workshop which enables people to discover the meaning and significance of their felt experience in working contexts and learn how to transform it into successful behaviour for the benefit of the institution.
  • Experiential LearningThe group relations approach. The Institute has been a pioneer in the development of experiential learning in group and organisational behaviour, working internationally over 33 years.
